Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

96-01.5 is T45, 01.5+ is TR360. If you are still in doubt since you have a 01, the door tag tells you what trans you have. If it says K under TR on the door label, it's the TR3650. Also, save your cash for the driveshaft. Al, unless the design permits less inertia over the stock piece (both mass AND SIZE determines inertia), could reduce performance and for the money, you can get other stuff for your car.

Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

Most companies advertise that less weight improves performance but that is only a small part. A good way to see how this works is get 2 identical rings in which one is solid and one is hollow. Put both on a ramp and see which starts to move first, which will be the solid one, despite the increased mass.

Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

the trans is starting to shift roughly. from 1st to 2nd it feels like its going into gear but it will jump out. Then when i try to put it back in it grinds. also it will feel like there is a bar in front of 3rd preventing it from going into gear so il wigle it in neutral an itl go. it will also do this for reverse so ill put it in 1st then reverse and it will work.Any ideas whats wrong??? Had the trans and diff. fluid changed at 54K and its only 59K. Thinking of putting Lucas in the trans and diff.to see if it helps. also gonna try The z max fuel and oil treatment. I use royal purple 5w20 and dont know if i should mix the royal purple ,zmax oil treatment, and the lucus oil stabilizer

Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

If you have the TR3650, there is a TSB to replace the synchros for 2nd and 3rd and also the manual states the wrong fluid level which may have caused you to overfill the trans.

Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

Do you know what the proper fill levels are supposed to be? i have an 03 gt door panel tr said K so i assume i have the TR3650. I have the upr blue thunder shifter w/ extreme stick on its way. Have you looked at the sct livewire tuners??? i think i might get this one over the predator.

Re: TRANS. and DRIVELINE

Here's the info on it. For me, I used Redline D4 ATF when I did mine.
