Motor Build, what ya think

Here is what i am thinking about doing to my 03 GT, please be gentle with responses.

I want to get manely forged crank and pistons, KB 2.1L SC, Patriot Heads stage 2 with XE265H comp cams w/beehive springs, msd cop, and a 90mm MAF. I know this will cost a bit of money but, hey i have some to spare finally. Thanks for the help.

Re: Motor Build, what ya think

Manley doesn't make cranks so I'm assuming you mean the Cobra crank? Also, I'd go w/ blower cams instead of run of the mill generic cams from Comp (Crower has some nice cams for this). In addition, for heads, there are better heads out there from Total Engine Airflow, Fox Lake Racing, and Steen Racing. In addition, depending on the amount of boost you're going to run (and ultimately the amount of power), you may not need the larger MAF or MSD coils. To add to what you listed, h-beam rods, Cobra oil pump, and built drivetrain (stronger clutch, trans, 31 spline axles and diff) to handle the power. Also, as a suggestion, you may want to upgrade the suspension and brakes to help put the power to the ground and be able to control it as well (such as RCLA, subframes, and Cobra brakes).

Sounds like a good plan.

Have you considered a turbo (Hellion)?
