You can't beat Hookers for power but the fit isn't exactly the best and the design isn't 100% street friendly due to the thinner tubes, slip-fit collectors and 2-piece driver side header. However, good brands include Hooker/Flowtech, Mac, Kooks, and SLP. Not a fan of BBK and I haven't nor heard anything of Edelbrock. As for Hedman, I've heard that installation is a nightmare (though headers are a PITA, the Hedman design makes it even more so).

Shorties or LT's?

I like Borla and Magnaflow for fit/finish on the exhaust.

Don't waste your time with a cam swap if your not doing other mods too.

I probably should have pointed out that I was talking about long tubes. For the trouble you have to deal w/ to install headers, it's long tubes or nothing.

Re: 02 GT looking for more RWHP

In my opinion the set up is Kooks LT, w/ Kooks o/r x-pipe, no cats, Magnaflow cat backs. I ordered a set of BBK LT and one of the head pipes was about 50% restricted to clear the steering shaft. Needless to say BBK assured me that did not effect the performance of there product. I sent them back and ordered a set of Kooks. I sold my GT before I had a chance to put the 01 motor together. I can assure you I will order Kooks for my Cobra. Check the link, I have some parts new in the box you might be interested.
