brakes and rear seals question

Hi,
My 02 GT was squeeling when braking so I brought it to a local mech.
He says my rotors are "rotted". Any of you ever hear of that?
Also says the calipers are shot and the rear seals are leaking.
I've done full brake jobs on several non-Mustang models, Sebring LXI,
Sante Fe, etc..
How hard are brakes to do on the GT's?
Is a lift required?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Regards,
Tom

Re: brakes and rear seals question

Rear brakes are easy.
1. Lift the car up high enough to remove the wheels.
2. Remove the calipers.
3. Remove the caliper mounting bracket (not the anchor plate on the housing).
4. Slide the rotors off.
5. Install is the reverse. Just make sure you get a tool to compress the rear pistons in (which is done by rotating them, I believe clockwise?). Otherwise, needle nose pliers can be used but is more tedious.
