caliper bracket

JUst picked up an '01 GT Convertible with some squeaky brakes, want to take the calipers off to have them machined. Wondering what the caliper bracket bolt head size was. I've seen 15mm here and there, but thats loose. 14mm is to small, my standard socket collection is pathetic, I tried a 19/32, seemed tight, but started to strip. Anyone know off the top of their head?

Thanks!

Re: caliper bracket

Should be 15 mm. Are you using good sockets as I've seen cheap ones that were loose. Another possibility is that the bolt may be slightly stripped from past servicing so you may need to get a set of new bolts. But to get the old ones off, use the tightest fitting ones that you can. Also, have a nice bar to attach to your breaker/wrench as those bolts are usually on very tight.
