Where do I start? It's a 4.0 so, who makes the good stuff? CAI? Cat back? Throttle body? What What What. (I'm a little excited right now)
Gotta go look at it some more, Bye.

Cat-backs are useless since it's just mufflers and Ford did a good job this time w/ the exhaust. CAI and TB are probably both good beginner mods but bigger isn't always better for TB. Also, a better shifter, gears, and a computer tuner are also good.

I got our 06 mustang gt stick december of 05, and its still as much fun as day one to drive...I want a KB 8psi blower- a guy at church put one on his automatic and ran a 12.5 right out of the box

Ive heard similar gains on the v6 too- its not a small v6, and Ive heard they respond well to tuners and of course blowers

If youve got the same tranny as the gt, be careful powershifting into second- Ive buyned a synchro or something in mine, it will not shift to second at over 5000 rpm anymore- about a dozen 6000 rpm shifts at the strip did it in- suprisingly it does better shifting at 45~4700 anywa(torque peak) best to date 13.78 @ 103 bone stock.

these cars are a ball to drive aint they? its the first new car Ive ever got into that fit like an old pair of boots...no new car jitters or 'getting used to'...even the awkward looking parking brake handle is well positioned...the gate on the stick feels a litle soft, I think the little short adapter saleen sells is the most reasonable way to go- still havent got one yet, but heard good things...as the shifter is basically 'just a handle' the prices on some of the aftermarket choices seem kinda steep...I dont theink the best hurst with all the linkages/etc cost as much as the ball and socket handles everyones selling for 150~300 bucks...

The V6 has the T5 still, the GT the TR3650. Also, the shifter isn't just a handle, it's still a complete unit like any other shifter (hence why Hurst advertises a 40% reduction in throw).
