Question Tuning a Bullitt -08

I currently own a Bullitt -08. I like it alot but would like some more power... I'm a total rookie at tuning so I would definately need some good advice where to start...

Intake? Headers? Underdrive pulley? Ignition stuff? Other stuff?

Where should I start and do I need to readjust the chip/electronically tune it after installing stuff as above?

I like to increase power by approx 50-80 HP and I use it on roads...

Long tubes, ported heads, cams, larger TB, and tune should help out. Just don't go crazy w/ the heads, cams, and TB since you still want to have torque so you can drive the car. Also, use long tubes at your risk since it may get you in trouble when it comes time for inspection. If you find that these mods don't meet your expectations, there's always forced induction.

Re: Tuning a Bullitt -08

Your intake is good (Ford Racing) and the exhaust is good too.
For a Normally Aspirated car the long tubes and such wont really buy ya anything. The Underdrives will grab (reclaim) ya about 5 horses.
Best thing you can do without going Forced induction is to get it tuned on a dyno by good tuner.
Or a mailorder tune from like Brenspeed, or Dynojoe will gain ya too.
Since I dont know where ya live I cant recommend.
Ya can always add NOS if ya dont want to spend the money on FI.
If you go FI then the whole world opens up for gains.

Check out VMPTuning.com ... I'd recommend getting a Xcal3 with some "custom" mail order tunes with an intake like the JLT or C&L. Steeda UDPs and CMCVs would be a good idea, too. Don't forget full exhaust and some gears.

Personally, I wouldn't change a thing until the factory warranty runs out. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Re: Tuning a Bullitt -08

Then you use FRPP and Roush parts which are either covered under warranty or under their own.
