Mustang/Falcon Coil Spring Compressor:

For Sale:
1965-1973 Mustang/Falcon coil spring compressor.
-$49.99+ $12.50 shipping.

-The best coil spring compressor you can buy!!
-The original.
-Been building them for 18 years.

-Here is a real problem solver when you are trying to do front suspension work:This is a front coil spring compressor used to remove and install front coil springs in '64-'73 Mustangs, and '60-'71 Falcons, Torinos, Rancheros, Comets and Montegos. It will also work on similar year Cougars, Fairlanes and '62-'67 Novas. It is made out of heavy gauge steel and is MIG welded. It works by lowering the tool through the hole on top of the shock tower, the lower part of the tool is attached to the lower spring saddle, and the upper shock tower mount is bolted back on to the shock tower. The flat plate is bolted to the shock mount, and the washer and nut are threaded on to the tool. The nut is turned clockwise to compress the spring about 3". With the spring compressed, the spring saddle is un-bolted from the upper control arm and the upper control arm is unbolted from the shock tower. The nut is then turned counter clockwise to release the tension on the spring. Installation is the opposite of the above. I personally build and weld each and every one of these compressors in my fabrication shop, and I have been building them for 18 years and I have sold hundreds to satisfied customers. This is a very safe and in-expensive compressor to use.
Add $10.00 for a thrust bearing that greatly eases the compressing operation.

Re: Mustang/Falcon Coil Spring Compressor:

I've got one and it works great and saved time. I had tried the old school type that clamp on the spring from the outside but they didn't fit inside the damn shock towers. I did cheat a little and after I compressed the coil spring enough with F15's compresser I was able to slip on the clamp style ones to hold the spring compressed and droped them out without removing the A-Arm bolt's. Improvised point A to B.
