2007 Anniversary Aussie Cobra Ute.

FPV, Ford's performance division Downunder, have released a 30th anniversary Cobra, in celebration of the 1977 Falcon XC Cobra.
300 Sedans and 100 Utes were produced, and all of them were pre-sold.

Here's what the ute looks like.

For those that were too afraid to ask, here's a few of the specs.
They only come in White with blue stripes.
Engine is the 5.4 DOHC rated at 302kw ( 400hp ).
Transmission is either 6 speed manual, or 6 speed ZF Auto.
Each car is individually numbered.

Before they were even delivered to new buyers, they were being advertised on eBay for excessive profits.

Some place on the net I read an article about GM is sending utes to USA in 2009 .The story said it will be badged as a pontiac G-8 sport truck for $25000.Yes I'm A ford man and hope that this does happen so FORD will do the same! Or just bring a FALCON ute like this one.I know we all would think we died and went to HEVEN.Ken N.

GMH here are exporting Sedans and utes to the USA, to be sold as Pontiacs.. I believe that the first shipment has already left Australia. They also currently export to some countries in the Middle east.
Ford Aust have no plans for exportation, and for some reason are pretty stubborn about it.
