1970 Ranchero non-GT wassit worth ?

So, I was picking up some parts for my 51 F1 the other day and noticed a nice looking 70 Ranchero in the parking lot.

As it turns out the Ranch is owned by the guy I was picking up parts from and was one of those, everything is for sale type deals.
It's red and black now, but was lime-ish metallic originally.
Non-GT but a 302 2v 500 model (well according to the VIN info I could find 47F I think it was)
It did have a GT hood on it though, which got me a bit excited at first because I though I'd found something cool.
The motor has less than 5000 since a rebuild, it's auto and has some very 70's looking side pipes.
Seems solid enough and the guy did point out a couple of small spots of rust and that the floor pans had been replaced.

What should i look for on it ? Where are these known to rust ?

What is this thing worth roughly ? I love the look of it and would like to use it as a daily driver when it's too crap for my motorbike.

Re: 1970 Ranchero non-GT wassit worth ?

The guy I bought the Falcon from restored a 69 and tried to sell it forever for $10K but only got $5K out of it after trying to sell it for over a year...

It was a spot on restoration for the most part.... Everything looked superb.

The one you are describing should'nt go for more than $1,500 considering...

He had it on Craigslist and E-bay twice...

Just some infro for you.... They're still going pretty cheap all around...

I'm sending a '70 429 GT off to the crushers in a few days. It's so rotted out that it;s too far gone. I did pull some parts of it tho including a set of perfect bed rails, the fenders, doors, hood, engine & seats
