Gas TANK?

I have a '62 RANCHERO would like to put the gas tank in the well behind the rear window.The place where the acces to the top of the shock mounts.Has anyone done this or know of any imformation. Thanks for any and all help Ken N.

Maybe I am a bit fried from my 12 hour haul to get a '74 ranchero, but I just had to re-read your post 4 times.
I was thinking behind the seats inside...but I would say as far as a tank, I would consider checking maybe with a local speed shop that deals with alot of the oval/dirt track guys. I don't know much on your year but I would think you could put a fuel cell in there?
Otherwise, might have to get a custom tank made.

Ken , This has been done and I remember reading a post on it but can't remember if it was here or else where. I'm thinking it was in the Falcon section here but can't find it . I think the guy had a tank built to set in that area .
