24 Hours of Lemons Ranchero

This could be yours!

Lemons dirt track racer race car. Fuel cell, Roll cage. Ford 460 c6
This is our 2007 Lemon's racer. It is a 77 Ford Ranchero with a transplanted 460. We built this from a heap and raced it last fall at the 24hoursoflemons.com race. The car has about 500 miles on the build.

Next stop the Craftsman truck Series.

Here is a link and vidios

The car is painted like a short school bus. PEOPLE LOVED IT!! It is complete with real school bus lights, a stop sign, and stickers. Here is a video of the car after the race.

Here is a video of the Short Bus before. You can see the interior better. The videos do a great job of showing the condition of the car in bright sunlight.

Would love to sell her to another Lemons team!

The beast finished the race and runs strong. I drove it off the trailer into my driveway in the Fall and it has sat under a cover since. Needs a new radiator as it sprung a pinhole leak as we were loading on the trailer to head home. Will also need a new battery and some new front steering ties as they are bent.

The car has a custom 2" roll cage that extends to the front horns and to the cab. There are big door bars and we put more structure in the front and back to protect the vitals.

It has two racing seats and a harness. We rebuilt the suspension and spindles complete with new seals, bushings, shocks, cut springs, and new ceramic brakes all the way around. It has front power disc brakes. The 9" rear end has posi added and all the seals rebuilt.

The beast has a 35 gallon fuel cell, cut-off switch, new high flow fuel pump, new alum fuel lines, new battery relocation kit, new transmission shift kit, performer Elderbrock intake and 600 cfm carb with a fresh kit. I looked tonight and it is leaking tranny fluid.

This is a 77, but has a BB Ford 460 and a c6 transmission. There is a nearly complete 77 at a pick-a-part near Sherwood so if you had to replace anything you could get it from that Ranchero.

I would love to store it for a future lemon's race or to pull the drive train for another build, but I'm out of space, time. I have a single garage that is already over flowing and I can't afford to store it any longer.
