Headers

Well I got around to dropping the engine onto my new frame and I found out that my Hooker Super Comps are touching my fuel line. Seeing as the brake line is just below the fuel line I am looking for a new set of headers.

Does anybody know of headers for a 351C or a 400, Long tube or Short that are available now?

Re: Headers

Rather than spend $400 bucks on new hedders, why don't you spend $25 bucks adn MOVE the fuel and brake lines?

Re: Headers

Its just not that, I have been having issues with ground clerance, and leaks since I put these in. Just in general I am not happy with them.

There is also interferance with the Lincoln X-brace I am running.

I am hoping that somebody makes a mid length Cleavland header that I could use in my car. Maybe I am just dreaming.

As far as momving the fuel line what would be the best way? Just cutting off the metal portion and running a rubber line?

Steal braided?

Or running another length of hard line?

Re: Headers

Well turns out the drivers side engine mount was bent in the crash. Slipped in a new mount and everything lines up again. Still not happy with the closeness of the header tot he fuel and brake lines but it will work for now. Still looking for a quality set of headers for my car.

Re: Headers

Put a small tin heat shield over the brake and fuel lines and you'll be fine.
