Round body shocks?

I have a '62 RANCHERO and need to buy rear shocks.The leaf springs were bought 4-5 years ago and haven't drove it.I need sugestions I want to raise the rear up.( Better ride height not '70's style)Is there a replacement shock that may be longer( I read this somewhere and did not save it).Had air shock and got sold with boy's last car.On a strict budget hope someone can help. What I did was do some research at Rockauto. I went through different cars and shocks available and wrote down the specs on each shock I thought may work. Be sure to take into consideration the mounting type. I think your Ranchero has stud type on either end. But spend about an hour researching. I heard also that blocks placed on either the top or bottom of the spring (can't remember which way) will raise the car up depending on the thickness of the spacer. Then you can research a taller shock. Good luck.

Ken I have used shock extensions but I drove like I had sense and no pop clutch or burn outs. Raised it about a inch and a half if I remember correctly . Also I used them only on the top .
