302 out 429 in

I'm planning a transplant in a '71 Ranchero. Will the existing motor mount lands work with the bb mounts?

The existing lands in the truck are tall, about 2 1/2-3". The mounts on the 302 fit over and are bolted from the side with one long bolt running fore and aft. The mounts on the 429 have a single stud running up and down, perpendicular to the mount.

Do I still need to buy mounts? will the tall lands work if they have or I put a hole in the top for the stud?

I'm trying to do this as cheap as possible as i'm out of work and money is tight, the 302 is original and wore out. That's the reason for the swap.

You need to buy the 429 mounts. They will bolt to the same spot.
