The question of the day.....

This is great that we have a street rod forum!

The question of the day is are we going to allow Chevy powered street rods questions on this forum or Ford powered by Fords only?

Shivvy Engines! Zero! Nada Zilch!

There are plenty of sites already existing for the Ford Rods with Brand X engines. This is FORDMUSCLE.

And Yes my 32 Roadster is Ford powered! (460)

I Agree !!!! When I go to car shows the rods I don't look at have brand X power . I don't have nothing against Chevy I have one but to me if it is a Ford then the dang thing ought to have Ford power . I feel the same about any other make also .

Re: The question of the day.....

I don't see any forseeable reason why we'd want to encourage a Chevy powered Ford owner in here or why a Chevy powered Ford owner would want to be here for that matter. It's a Ford site. No sweat.

I hear ya Earl. I'm the same way. I also hear others at the shows/cruise saying the same thing. The only exception is the Honda Civic with the 460

Re: The question of the day.....

I totally agree, if I were to see the most beautiful Ford street rod ever, if it had a chebbie engine, I'd keep on walking ad not even give it a second look!!

Why can't people just use a 351W or something like that? I had somebody tell me once, the reason he used a chebbie 350 is because there are kits available! I say, if there's a kit available, it's been done before, and is no different than everybody elses!

Radchero, a 460 in a '32 eh...niiiiiiiice!!!!!

Re: The question of the day.....

I would seem to think that a Chevy engine would be ok as long as it was in the trunk of the car........in pieces!!

Re: The question of the day.....

Street Rods have Ford engines? Wow, whoda thunk? I just call a small block Chev by it's initials; a "USRE" ( Universal street rod engine)
