Traditional VS. Non Traditional:
I'll take a stab at another controversial topic that is Street Rod/Hot Rod related. Traditional VS. Non Traditional. The Traditional camp builds their cars the way they were supposedly built in the 40's, 50's and 60's. They use parts that were available during that time period and nothing else, staying away from billet parts and electronic gadgets that alot of modern street rods have. There are some gray areas such as using a newer engine than what was available during the Traditional time frame. I am personally buiding a '27 Ford Track T that will have the Traditional look, but I have strayed in a few areas because of cost. I am using a Speedway motors fiberglass body because a steel one was not available at a cost I could afford. I am also using a Ford 302 becuase a flathead was pretty pricey as well. Will I be allowed into the traditional camp? I really don't care because I believe I really built a traditional car by using what I could afford, and what I had lying around. I know a few traditional builders who have 30 grand in their Trad cars, and I will have 2 grand in mine, so who is and who isn't?
