NSRA's New 30 Year Cut Off For Shows:

I don't see how including the later cars detracts in any way from what the NSRA has been doing. It just means more cars at shows, and more people sharing the car hobby.

It just reminds me of the same sort of biggotry that exists in the off road world between 4x4, dirt bike, quads and mountain bikes. And then within those worlds, I met Jeep guys that looked down their nose at me for building a Toyota, and Toyota guys that looked at Jeeps the same way.

I'm a 19 year old auto tech student, working at a gas station part time. I can't afford to build a what many people like to call a "true hot rod". So, I bought a '74 Maverick. It's a feather weight car with a V8, rear wheel drive and if you ask me muscle car looks, and that's hot rod enough for me.

I know what you mean when it comes to 4wds. All jeep runs, all cj-8 runs, all hummer runs. LAME! I used to run a bronco II with a ford ranger club, but they were good guys and allowed members with jeeps and whatever. Run what you brung, true hot rodders at heart. Everyone has their opinion, but damn man, lighten up!
