351w crank into 302w block

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HI i was woundering if any body knows or has any info regarding installing a 351w crank into a 302 block.(cheapish stroker) Looking over the meager specs i have, can i grind down the mains to standard 302 (2.9998-2.2486).Then take the crank pins down to fit the approprate length rod and piston combo(longer rod ,lower piston pin height) as there is plenty there to mess around with.
351-2.3107
302-2.1232
keeping the 3.5 stroke
a 351w wont fit between the towers of early falcons (60-65)and since im about to rebuild the 302 im messing around with a few ideas.
any ideas any one?

Its possible to do what you suggesting, the bore spacing is the same. Might be cheaper though to buy a crank from probe, they have a kit that will make 350 cubes. on a 30 over bore, a few more cubes if you go 60. You will have a lot of clearancing to do. And the rod, ratio is not favorable to longevity.
You could pay with it and maybe find a rod and piston combo that would work. But it all cost money. Triming the shock tower might look easy after you add up the dollars.
Besides a well built 347 can crank out some ponies, 380+ is realistic and attainable.. Mac
