289 to 347?

ok now ive asked other people about this procedure and some say go for it and others say dont what i wanna know is will the motor be reliable? people say you cant do a 347 with a 289 block but with a 302. my main question is can i do it with a 289 block and will it be reliable? or will the walls start to crack?

289 to 347?

What I've read is that the 289's cylinder skirts are shorter. It's not that the 289 won't hold up...it just can't hold the pistons in the bore with a longer stroke.

289 to 347?

Go to my website and check out my 347 stroker putting out 460 horses, not including the NITROUS in my 65 Shelby GT350.
Go for the 347, you won't be sorry!

I use a 65 289 block on my 347 its has mega runs,had no problems what so ever!
