Couple more stroker questions

my cast crank went almost 2 years in a 9.90 (give or take) stock stroke windsor on alcohol. Block broke...took crank with it, but if it hadn't have been for the stupid thin main webbing (which by the way is completely gone--except for the #5) it'd still be tearing up the strip. Cast flexes a lot more, but it can only flex so many times before it breaks. If I did another stock crank windsor, I'd buy a couple extra crank and block cores and switch 'em out once a year to be on the saf(er) side.

LOL....I too dealt with Eric. First time I got the wrong pistons, second time the wrong rods, finally went to assemble it and I had the wrong bearings and the crank hit the pistons.

I spent enough on machine work that I could have bought a complete shortblock instead of the kit. You would think their kits would actually bolt together. Is that too much to ask?

If I had as much money to spend as I wanted, Id go 408. However, you cant beat the deal on a 393 from Flatlander. You can get SRP pistons, 5140 scat crank and Scat H-beams all for just under 1100 bucks. This stuff has been proven to hold up to 650-700 HP repeatidly. Know your budget and know your expectations.
