393 Piston Question

Considering going the cheap route on a 393. Planning on using a set of stock rods and 302 pistons. Will any 302 pistons work in this application? Also, what a guess be on compression with a flat top 302 piston and a 61cc head? Also, is a girdle recommended in a mild stroker application?
I would really appreciate some help as I need to get this thing going as quick as possible.

Thanks

393 Piston Question

That combination will yeild between 11.0-11.25/1 C/R depending on head gasket, valve reliefs etc.
I wouldn't worry about a girdle on this one. Spend your money on getting it to breath better.
