hello i purchased my first mustang

It is a 1992gt 5 speed with 104 k on it. Im really excited about the car and can not wait to do some damage to some f bodies. I currently see a lot of f bodies in the high 12s low 13s stock and thats gonna be a nite mare for my stang.
I currently have 3.55 for the car and the rest is completely stock. My question is this. Has anyone know is it possible to build a 331 to hit an 11.9 while retainig my 3.55 gears and using pump gas? or is it just impossible?
I would like to keep the gears cause its awesome on the highyway and well pump gas is pretty cool. I just wanto know if this is possible. I wanto decimate my ls1 trans am buddy but have my car as streetable as possible. Thanks for any information.

Absolutely it can be done easily, a 331 is a pretty high winder and by utlizing the better rod ration you can make good power watch the compression ratio and stay around 8.5:1 why so low? Then you can put a nasty assed huffer on it and go low 11's maybe high 10's that will get there attention I guaranttee it.Or you can just by a crate motor from coast high performance.

I would agree a 500 bootle of nos is definately cheaper, but on a higher mile motor, the fun won't last long enough.

A 302 rebuild would last longer, make sure you use good hard bearings if using nos. I agree $500 is less then $3000 but you don't have to stop and change bottles with a super charger you just gas and go.

Bottom line is everyone has there thing and what has worked for them, its your car and your path, turn any direction you want, the price for horse power is always the same. "horsepower costs money how fast can you afford to go?"
