streetable 393 combos?

great site!! Ive seen some real awesome 393 dyno numbers but am curious about streetable combos. Im researching a 393 combo for my 69 fastback. I am aiming at a roller 351 block and TFS track heat or E RPM heads? Inputs? I am looking for very streetable manners but of course want the best power for the money. low end torque, nice idling, and no higher than 10-1. Last project was a BBF 88 stang so i am power hungry. Anybody with combos like this please chime in

BTW, if im not being too needy i would love to here from people using a CJ shaker scoop on top of a 351 and intakes that work. RPM, stealth or will a victor clear?

Man, we are so alike. I asked this question a while back and received some feedback. Do a search under Author GregS. You may see some information about 393 combos that may help. I also want to use my shaker. I am worried about height also. It seems for the street that the AFR 185's and the RPM Air Gap would be the best streetable combo, but the Air Gap may be too tall.

streetable 393 combos?

pulled some flow figures and between the 185s, TFS twisted wedge, Vic jrs the biggest difference i see is better low rpm exhaust flow from the 185s. i ran numbers on EA 3.0 and only get 415hp from TFS heads, RPM intake, and 282HR cam(havent researched cams yet). but i get a 30hp jump with a victor intake which i think is unrealistic? How bout what pistons will clear what heads? Ive seen some kits need piston notching for 2.02 valves. once again great site, my project thanks you

I diffrent from most guys on here i like and use Roush 200 heads. my 306 makes just as much or more power then some of the strokers with alum heads.cam i would give cam research a call for a custom cam www.camresearchcorp.com

streetable 393 combos?

I'm building a 500hp smooth idling 393 for my 67 vert, I'm somewhat duplicating this build but with efi and dif heads.

I cant find the exact link but go to www.enginemasters.com and click on small block fords and check out the 393 build I think it was called "wicked windsor in a box" over 500hp and 500 ftlbs with a smooth idle and great vaccuum. Think of what that hp and a 150 shot of N2o would feel like?
