Probe cranks any good

Looking to go with a real affordable 393. Stock truck rods, 3.85 crank and forged 302 pistons. Has anyone used the cast steel Probe Ind. crank they sell for under $250? I am also looking for a 9.5/1 pistons that will work with TFS track heats or AFR 185s. Real streetable build, no high rpm. Ive searched posts about the pistons but never fond anything definite

Wouldn't give CHP the time of day! Why not try a Scat crank? They're only a few $$$ more.

My understanding is: Their is one manufacturer of cast Windsor crankshafts in the world. The casting company is in CHINA. There are many US companies that machine the cast cranks (SCAT, RPM, EAGLE). CHP told me they use the same cast crank company for the last 5 years.

it is a sad truth looks like nothing is made in the old usa anymore. make a crank in China for$25.00 and sell it over here for $300.00 Thats why i grind my own cranks
