Could you stroke a .60 over 351 w

I have a early 80's 351w that has been bored .60 over and was thinking of stroking it.
1) how is the .60 over going to effect a stoker motor
2) what is the largest ci stroker kit would you recommend

I can't run this motor on pump gas so I don't drive it much
(100oct min $6.50 a gallon) I thought I would make it a stroker.

Thanks

Just make sure you order a .060 over piston. And you will be fine.060 will give you a few more inches

On the largest stroker, the 4.1" stroke seems PLENTY. With the 4.060" bore you'll have a 425. With that long a stroke you need capscrew rods to keep the rod bolt shoulders off the cam lobes.
I built a 4.140" stroker with rod bolt rods and wished I built a 4.1" with capscrew rods. Live and learn brother.

When you stroke your motor why don't consider dropping the compression below 11 to 1 while your at it. It won't cost any more on your build price, you will still have the same cubic inch displacement from a stroker kit and you will be able to run it on 93 octane pump gas! Just my 2 cents worth!

The only problem with a .060" stroker 351w is pistons..or lack of them. You'll find .030's all day long, but it seems that .060"s are a little harder to come by. Especially GOOD pistons.

Been there done that. I would have used SRPs but they didn't have .060". I used Mahle instead. Haven't raced yet, but they look to be as good/better than JE/SRP.

First of all let me say Thanks to all who replyed. As soon as me financial advisor (my wife) give me the OK I will be digging in to this project. Has anyone used the stroker kits that are listed on Ebay and if so which kit should I be considering.

If the readers here are interested I could do an article on this bulid complete with pictures.

Thanks Bozz

if your planning on making some good grunt, 550 upwards HP i would recommend sonic testing the block. with a thin wall on the bore even if the motor did hold together at high HP highTQ ring seal issues due to bore expansion will drop your HP figures
