Hi there,I have a Sunbeam Tiger running a 347, edelbrock r.p.m. heads,9.75 compression pistons competition 268 cam I recently changed to the present cam to improve idle as the previous cam was an edelbrock performer only giving 12"vacuum as the car had been set up for track use What would be a good carb. choice for street use and what sort of power output could I expect

Tiger huh? I drove one of these once with a 289. That is quite a car. Given the light weight and it probably has a stick, I would look at something like a Speed Demon 650 with mechanical secondaries.

I would not go with the edelbrock. I have had great luck with my 650 DP. I am running a slighly more built 302 in a slighly heavier car so It should be fine for you.

Street car? I would run nothing but Edelbrock for a street car. For a race car, a Holley is hard to beat though.

That's just me though.

Holleys can work great on the street, if you know how to tune them. Once you read up on tuning it is not very hard.

I'm running a 750 Proform on my combo, Great Carb for the $$. You motor in alot milder, Maybe the 650 proform would be a good choice.
