has anyone used legend 5140 rods from cnc motorsports. any info appreciated

tony the rods are i beams. supposed to be rated for 500hp and 7000rpm they look decent. much beefier than the 351 truck rods i have and i've them handle 500hp

I'd get a set of 4340 rods. I've heard bad things about the 5140 rods failing at around 500hp. I beams will be fine, and they are lighter.

5140 rods are generally rated to about 500hp, depending on who you ask.

4340 is a higher quality of steel and is readily available and generally not very expensive from Scat.
