Machine Work

Hi guys. I am new here and I got some questions I couldnt find using the search option. I just got a 1977 302 block. I am going to make it a 331 stroker.

I would like to know what work the machine shop needs to do and about how much money I am looking at. I know its got to be bored .030 over and tanked and magnafluxed and I shaved to fit the stroker kit but is there anything else? Need to know how much money to save up. Thanks for the information. You guys are great .

Just your typical machine work, doesnt matter if your doing a 331 or a stock 302 rebuild. Bore, hone, hot tank, check line hone, square the deck etc. Pricing varies greatly it seems, figure 400-600 for a ready to assemble block. Again pricing seems to vary, so its an estimate
