I had a SCAT do the same thing, but at the 3/4 rod journal and at 7000 RPM. 4" stroke 9000 series cast crank. It was not fun nor was it cheap to fix.
Found a Eagle 4340 crank to replace it. Been going now for about 2 seasons and not a single problem other than valvesprings. And I ain't easy on it at all!
I feel for ya, bro. Hard earned money gets poured into these things, then they just break for no apparent reason. It's almsot heart breaking. Actually, it feels more like your stomach is up around your neck. Not a good feeling either way.
