Re: 352 stroker?
get a 390 rotating assy, or go for the gusto and find a 428 crank and rods, think that'd make it a 406 but not sure, thats teh easiest way to do it, 352's had some decent heads on em back when too

Re: 352 stroker?
Performance Cam, 750 Carb, Aluminum 4v Intake and Headers / Exhaust + good Tuning Skills, will get you at least 50hp over a stock 352.

Re: 352 stroker?
Agree completely with dfree for the 50 hp
next step up is .050 over with a 390 rotating assembly, then you'd have a 390
but if you are intent on big motor stroking, its about 2500 bucks for a good kit, and you''ll have to bore to 4.05 to get a decent price on pistons
Then it would be a 444 cid motor with a 4.25 crank.

Re: 352 stroker?
I have had a question about nitrous systems, this might be the moment to get it answered. Can you drive around the hood for months with the bottle open just waiting for the opprtunity to use it, and when you finally went WOT the gas would be there for you? I ask because I heard all the systems leaked and if you needed a shot you have to go out to the trunk and open the bottle and then close it when you're done. <bummer>

Open the bottle when you leave, and close it when your back home.

Re: 352 stroker?
Rats. You would have thought NOS could have figured out some way to stop the leakage by now, I mean, if we can send a man to the moon...
yes, dfree, I was trying to get away with keeping the engine in the car. Will reworking or replacing the heads alone get me close? It is stock now, with compression of 9.3.

Re: 352 stroker?
The heads you have now are decent, they arent the first thing you need to do. All 352's had a good early head design, anything you changed that would add compression would be a less efficient head.
A good set of headers and dual exhaust, a recurved distributor, and a good intake and carb (in that order) should get you noticeable power
I would also add, if you do that and a shift kit in the tranny it will feel much stronger, add a set of gears it would even feel quick compared to now

i agree. just going from a 3.00 gear to a 3.50 gear in my 1800 (low) stall tci shift kitted C6 made my car chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift even with 3 friends in the heavy car. but i went back to the 3.00s for better highway cruising.
