347 radiator

I am planning on putting a 347 in my 95 cobra. Will overheating be a problem with the stock radiator. If so any recommendations on what type I should get. Thanks.

Re: 347 radiator

It could be, but it might not be. There are many factors like, air conditioning, climate, thermostat used, power-adder, etc.?

If you do go aftermarket, I've had good luck with Fluidyne.

Re: 347 radiator

I had to replace the radiator (dual core 1" tube, aluminum), high performance water pump, and high flow thermostat. The radiator alone didn't make a huge impact in my case.

Re: 347 radiator

Cobra,

I installed a 347 w/E303 cam in my 84 stang conv. and under certain sumertime driving conditions in central Missouri, my stock 2 row radiator just wasn't getting the job done. I found a great 3 row replacement from our local Autozone store and the price was easy on the wallet. If you purchase one, you will more than likely have to make minor modifications to the mounting rubber grommets that the stock 2 row radiator set on. Since the 3 row is thicker, you will have to cut an appropriate slot into the rubber mounts. This is an easy fix!

Good luck,
