Re: 351 Cleveland rebuild

I have thought it though. I do not want to make a stroker out of her. I want to just do a small over like a .030 the do a little more work on the bottom end. I still would like to know if there any parts companies that you guys feel have the best parts for the Cleveland. I would also like to prob have a hydraulic vs solid mainly because i do not want to keep adjusting the valves.

Re: 351 Cleveland rebuild

As far as stroker kits, Scat make some good stuff.

Carb wise a 650 is way to small, you'll be looking at a minimum of a 750 and best power on a 408" motor using a 850-950 sized carb, but it all depands on your part selection and RPM Range you want to turn it.

If your not going to do a stroker, at least look at getting better heads than your 2v Factory Parts. The Edlebrocks are definetly a much better alternitive.
