Re: Pinks all Out, Gainesville... We made the show

I went to the show in Atlanta last weekend. Pretty cool. They chose a 10.3 class. I have to say, one of the more unusual vehicles was a Dodge Ram pickup. The cool thing is that it was a 4- wheel drive diesel. He ran it in 4 wheel on street tires. Oh, and he made the final 16. Another cool thing was rewarding the 8 fastest cars. The ones competing to be on the show, not the exhibition cars, like the jet cars. I think that these benefit us. I've read some posts from other sites that think these guys are wannabes. I would much rather watch cars that for the most part are built by guys with day jobs and not the corporate sponsored big time dragsters. What was the e.t.'s for the final 16 in Gainesville?

Re: Pinks all Out, Gainesville... We made the show

We were running low 11.40 - high 30's all day. They told us the 16 cars were with in .008 of each other. I must say that I fell pretty impressed to be in the final 16 since we was just a carbureted car 3100lb car with no adders. There was a NO2 Oldsmobile F85, tube chassis corvette, two cars with parachutes (150mph class requirement), a 69 camaro w/fiberglass front, doors and trunk deck with lexan window all in the final 16. These dudes had to be really dialing back their et's.
