WTF edelbrock

Tried to start the engine on sat. The first few times with the starter turning it over went well, but after filling it with gas (and alittle ether) I had issues with my damn mech edelbrock fuel pump. After taking it apart the suction cup pin thing wasnt ever engaged with the mechanical arm. Plus there was alot of aluminum flash still sitting in the pump. Evntually we fished the two together and slapped it back on. Still no gas. Im pretty sure my accentric is on right. When we start it up you can feel air coming out, but not alot. After taking the hoses apart there is definately gas going to the pump but not leaving it.
Any coments or ideas... and .... what electric fuel pumps out there are worth the buy? Holley or Edelbrock(Essex Industries) or...?

Re: WTF edelbrock

Hmmmm, looks like no flow to me...

You probably just happened to get the bad one they had on the shelf...

Send it back for a warranty replacement... But a Stock fuel pump can handle 300 HP...
