vibration

I need some help figuring out a surging vibration from 2400 to 3200 RPM. Below 2400 smooth above 3200 smooth no vibration. The motor specs are listed below. I have tried different trans, converter, drive shaft, timing, rear end, tires, carb, the converter is a hughs 3000 stall and a PA C4 trans.
any help would be great.
Thanks Dave

Re: vibration

Looks like you got yourself a nice combo. Sounds like you have replaced all the items that could cause a vibration. Is this only when the engine is running at idle/up or driving down the road?? I would imagine your ball joints were replaced too. Are your rims balanced and trued. Hit any potholes lately?? Any cracked spark plugs or bad wires. Just trying to see if you might of overlooked anything. Good luck on finding the culprit.

Happens while driving or sitting in the driveway at 2400/3200 rpm.

Re: vibration

Same symptoms driving or sitting in the driveway. Then you can rule out suspension, driveline, rearend, and wheels.

I'm assuming they are but I will ask... Motor balanced? Flex plate balanced to motor? What imbalance are you running on the 347? Has this vibration always been around with that motor or is it something new?

Re: vibration

you may have changed those items but did you try both 28 oz and 50 oz? Or just replace them with the same imbalance? OR is it a zero imbalance engine?
