Got my engine finally
After 4 months, the wait is over. 347 forged stroker from AD Performance, Your Source for Longblock Performance Parts, paxton SC afr185 heads and a few other things. I have to wait on valve covers since the ones I thought I could use did not fit - not tall enough for the stud girdles.
Looking for input on what to do with the brass heater hose connector in the pic. I don't like the look/never really did, but I could not find anything better. Any suggestions?
Here's a pic of what it looks like:

Re: Got my engine finally
The motor is looking good.
That elbow is one of the areas that I have trouble with too. Stock stuff isn't too pretty either, plus they won't always work with a high rise manifold.
There are free'r flowing plumbing elbows that have a better appearance, but most are made of brass and wouldn't match your "raw" intake very well. I lucked upon one made from stainless--but too bad I couldn't locate matching stainless nipples. I hide it all (including the intake) with a light coating of black paint:
If you could find the brass equivalent (try various hardware or plumbing supply stores,) you could paint the fittings silver and it would look pretty good.

Re: Got my engine finally
You can buy the original type fitting from the mustang stores and use a reducer.

Re: Got my engine finally
for that water fitting, check out a stock 289 65 mustang or a similar year FE, Ford makes a clean stock 90 degree fitting that fits right where you need it. I just cant remember which one I got mine off of, maybe Dearborn Classics knows.
