Re: Main Cap Girdle?

Just chiming in to whine a bit that the Bessel splayed caps are not available for early non-roller blocks. I'm sticking with my original '70 2-bolt 302 that's getting rebuilt soon by a local builder. Would love to add the Bessel keyed caps and intake valley support but it looks like they're not available, and the intake valley support would seem to be of little use on its own.

Anyone know another vendor for a keyed girdle like Bessel's? Or are the 2-bolt main early 302 owners kind of screwed on this because there's not enough material to do a 4-bolt? Is there a super beefy keyed main cap for these blocks? I could imagine the key being on the outside of the cap far enough away from the bolt to not weaken that area . . .
