408W Harmonic Balancer/Dampener

[SIZE=3]408W, 500HP, Electric fan, Edelbrock Victor Jr. water pump, Alternator, No A/C, No Power Steering, External Balance…[/SIZE]
[SIZE=3]What balancer should I use? I ask because apparently I need that information before I order some aluminum pulleys from March Performance. Their catalog is asking whether I have a 4 bolt balancer or not???[/SIZE]
[SIZE=3]What do you guys have? SFI, Fluidampr??? 28 oz.?[/SIZE]

The imbalance should be matched to your crank. It should have been balanced with the rotating assembly or the rotating assembly balanced to a certain imbalance which could be 28 oz., 50oz, or 0 (internal). SBF balancers were 3 bolt in the early years and went to 4 bolt later. Anything 80's or up is going to be 4 bolt. Most aftermarket balancers have a bunch of holes so you can use either.
SFI means that the external balance ring cannot separate from the internal one. Which one to use is up to your wallet and preference, you will get many different opinions on which is best.
