Re: Big Joe - rod/stroke b.s.

Oh boy. I am going to try and stay neutral here and I can not read minds. My guess is that Joe bluntly made his point that is probably true in that in most of our engines it does not mater much. Joe I like to learn from some one with so much experience but at times you could be more polite. I also see that it made the discussion about rods seem irrelevant. To me some of the discussion was clear and told in a way that made me think a little about some engine theory and what takes place inside. That was not a sad story to me since I learned a little. I guess we will move on and get over it.

Re: Big Joe - rod/stroke b.s.

I am just trying to save everyone a lot of time and money. All these theroies and brainstorm ideas are great for discussion, but if they were really any bennifit. everyone would be doing it allready. It is just great how someone sits at a computer and designes a better engine, with little or no experiance-think about it

There's an old adage about racing, how goes that go again...oh ya,"Run what ya brung!" While I'd try to use the longest rod I could just because I feel like it,I'd take the lightest ones any day! BME aluminium or Oliver billet sounds good. So do the stock rods in my 351. Whatever...
