Still great tool for before/after tests... not so great for legit first test numbers.
Whats the deal with TEA? Was about to send a set of TFS R heads to them?

Re: 408 Stroker Camshaft Dyno Test

Book promo = bogus dyno test? Come on now! We aren't hiding the fact that we are promoting a book (we thought the picture of the book and link to Amazon was rather obvious )

Engine dyno pulls generally begin much higher than chassis dyno pulls. The numbers below 3K are not that significant when this engines power curve is 3K and up.

I'll work on getting Holdener to post some more info about this test - but I vouch it is not fabricated. 500+ at the crank on a 347 is actually "good", not "mind blowing impressive".

Always glad to see whose reading this stuff, keep it coming!

Yes, they were...LOL, sorry I had 347 on the brain from another project. In retrospect, 500 from a 408 is sort of middle ground achievement.

Re: 408 Stroker Camshaft Dyno Test

I have a 408 w/10-1 comp and windsor sr. heads, solid roller with just around 550 lift that made 480 hp at 6000 rpms The 408 in question has way more cylinder head then mine so this does not sound to far fetched to me at all.
