1986 Ford Thunderbird 5.0

Hi

I just bought a 1986 Ford Thunderbird 5.0 efi and i wonder what my options can be on suspension and exhaust system.
Is there any performance parts for this car. i know there is alot for the engine but i want some for the rest of the car also

1986 Ford Thunderbird 5.0

The only thing I know is that Thunderbirds are stretched Fox chassis'. There is a guy that hangs out on the Tech Forum that has a ton of knowledge about late model Birds. We need to get him over here. His name is TurboCoupe 50.

1986 Ford Thunderbird 5.0

Just about anything you can do to a Fox Mustang you can do to the 'Bird.I've got 'Stang headers and h-pipe on mine with duals to the rear.The Mustang rear will bolt right in,but it's a tiny bit narrower.I've got a Turbo-Coupe Locker rear in my '88 with the quad shocks.

vinnietbird is right. I've done the same on my 84 cougar plus put in a t5 in place of the AOD including pedal assembly ,driveshaft,8.8(with wider drums&longer axels from org 7.5) all from a donner 88 5.0 LX.
