hotrod55bird,
That's one of the finest mid fifties 'Birds I've ever seen. Those flames, vintage style wheels and dual carbs really give it a nostalgic look.

What year T bird do you have?
Thanks Falcon64,
I've had the car finished since 2003, I've put alittle over 10,000 miles on is since then and love to get it out on the highway and drive it.
I went on the Hotrod Magazine Power Tour in 2004 and drove it from Lubbock TX thru Ft Worth all the way to Green Bay WI. It gets abt. 19 mpg on the highway cruising 70-75 mph, but mileage really drops off around town when I'm stirring the shifter and getting a happy right foot .
I took the car to a Goodguys event in Ft Worth and got to get the car up on the track at Texas Motor Speedway. Running around 100 mph on 28º banking is a blast, and the car handled great.
I've never had it to the dragstrip but I feel like it will run somewhere in the 15's in the ¼.
It's a joy to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. I'm not much on the stand around and kick tires car shows but to get it out and run with a bunch of other hotrods is wherethe real fun is.
I've always said if you see my car on a trailer it's either broke or someone is stealing it.
Thanks for the compliment, Richard

I couldn't agree more. I thoroughly enjoy attending shows, but getting there is at least half the fun. Especially if it's a bunch of us guys traveling together! Some of the looks you get when you cruise by are priceless!

Re: What year T bird do you have?
Hi People, I'm new to the board here and I have a 86' Turbo coupe that I'm swapping a 93' 4.6DOHC w/5spd into. I've already installed a 03' Cobra IRS and custom thru-floor and lower subframe connectors. Eventually the engine will be rebuilt using a forged 5.0 stroker assembly and will be turbo charged to boot.
When I'm finished with the body work, I'll be painting it a H.O.K Blue.
John
Hi Vinnie Nice to see a familiar face

Re: What year T bird do you have?

Here's a 55 Tbird that was on 2006 Power Tour. And as the saying goes, if it's on a trailer, it's broke or stolen. Well we broke. Turns out that a Dana 44 will NOT take what a 393 Windsor can dish out....
Insert evil laughter here...
Aaron
