EGR / Thermactor block-off plates

I've been having a ball restoring a 1981 Thunderbird. body/frame is in great shape, just neglected. 5.0L 302 with a Motorcraft 2150 carb and AOD. After tuning up and rebuilding the carb I had to start getting rid of the useless and trouble-causing smog pump, thermactor and EGR. Also had to remove the auto-choke but we hardly need it down south. It's really running better now and the cat will come of soon when I put the new exhaust on.

What I need help with is finding a set of block-off plates for the EGR valve, which is integral to the intake manifold, and the thermactor tubes which are mounted to the back of the heads. I'm sure something like that is available, just can't seem to track it down on the 'net.

EGR / Thermactor block-off plates

Well I solved that problem by making my own covers. New thing I noticed. there's a vacuum line on top of the bell housing. didn't have it blocked off, there's no vacuum present so it was either a sensor or a feeback line. I plugged it with a screw for the time being. The car is running / shifting fine so I can't imagine what it's for. Any ideas?

The vacumn line you have found is for the modulator valve on the transmission. it is hooked up to a intake vacummn sorce so the transmission can compensate for engine loads I would sugest hooking it back up.
