68 Thunderbird Headlights

If you have never seen the way these headlights open, you better check these out before you DIE!

Im pretty sure the headlight cover open up with the vacum power??? if not it may make this answer simpler.

I cant get the covers to open up at the same time. It is freaking annoying and a little embarassing. The difference in time between one being open and the other JUST beginning to open is almost 15 seconds.

Anyone who wants to cometribute some pics/vids is more then welcome

THe 68 and 69 headlights run off vacuum routed thru the headlight switch. A leak anywhere in the switch. vacuum supply canisters, hoses, or the vacuum motors will cause slow operation. There is a manual override control under the hood near the vacuum suppply tanks, checking for vacuum there is a good start. Its a fairly complex system. prone to leaks due to the hoses getting old and brittle. Its was not uncommon to see the cars headlamp covers "winking at you even when the cars were om=nly a few years old. Also look for binding of the covers themselves, a shot of WD 40 on the pivot points my help. Good Luck!
