Feedback on 1987 Thunderbirds

I'm considering buying a 1987 Thunderbird but don't know a lot about them. I've not seen the car but a friend tells me it is nice. It is a one-owner base model V-8, A/T, digital gauges, and apparently has a bench seat (I'd thought all of them had buckets). It has approx 104,000 miles on it. There is no rust on the car, original paint in good condition, interior is in great shape, etc. The exterior is a shade of brown and the interior is brown with leather seats. Any idea what one of these is truly worth? NADA shows $3100 poor condition to over $9000 in excellent condition without listing options. The Classic Car Guide shows the same. I've had 3 '88 T-Birds (still drive one),and it's the same as an '87.I love them.You can EASILY do the H.O upgrade,and just about anything you can do to a Fox Mustang,you can add to these.I've installed an H.O engine,BBK Stang headers,X-Pipe,8.8 with 3.55 gears,etc.Great car.Stock,they can give excellent gas mileage,and with a few mods can surprise a few ricers.I have 17x9 Cobra R wheels and more on mine.All I need now is to install the console,door panels,and it's off to paint.If I can help in any way,feel free to let me know.$3500 may seem a little steep (it sounds like a little more than I'd want to pay),but,if it's in great shape and low miles,you'll probably be doing good.Keep me posted.
