tranny '92

what tranny are used on the 92 thunderbirds?

i thought a c4 was a option in europe, but the car i bought had a aod..

on the aod was written lincoln VII.. whats best, c4 or aod?

they used aods in them
for performance a c4 is good for gas mileage the aod is better it can be built up as well but it costs a little more

thank for the info. i think in EU the car is oad option. not all the types got this. mine does, the serials says its a lincoln mark VII oad. think it changed.

Mark VII is a previous generation Lincoln that also used the AOD. Sounds like the trans. has been swapped out. But all of the 89 - 93 T-Birds with auto. transmissions were AODs from the factory. The C4 wasn't used much past the early 1980s.
