302 to a 429?

Hello,
I have bought a 1971 Torino Station which has lost its engine. It was originally equipped with a 302. Now I was able to get a 429 4-bolt engine which I plan to build in that car. So, my question is: What parts/changes are necessary to do that? Do I only need motor mounts? Must I change suspension because of higher weight?
Please excuse me if there are some mistakes in my English as I am from Germany.
Greetings and waiting for news,
Holger.:

Welcome to our board Holger!

Some of the things that come to mind are motor mounts, exhaust, radiator, driveshaft (have yours cut to specs), maybe different throttle linkage? and a transmission that will bolt up to your BBF bolt pattern.

You would be wise to upgrade to big block front coil springs too!

First I want to thank you for the information. I think a c6 will match because this engine and tranny where originally built in these cars. I even thought about a T5 or at least a shift kit. There is a guy who offerd me a 9" axle, should I do that? The suspension is another problem. I really would like to give the car a good handling. Anything recommended?
Greetings,
Holger.

Make sure the wagon doesn't already have a 9" in it. Motor mounts are pricy, about $200 for a decent set. Radiator will work for a while until the weather gets hot, fan shroud won't. Get the springs for a Cobra Torino or Cyclone Spoiler. If you want to do a stick I have most of the linkage.
