351C 4V Code Q HELP!! PLEASE!!!!

Sounds like the shop tech is kind of an idiot on this matter. The stock 4V intake is a pretty good performing part, but its heavy cast iron! The Edelbrock is a better manifold than stock, so he should'nt have any problems with installing it. He's letting his personal opinion get in the way of doing what the customer wants (sounds like a Chevy guy).
If things get out of hand, let him install the stock one, then you can change it out for the Edelbrock unit after you get it home. Clevelands dont have coolant in their intake manifolds, so changing it is a simple matter of unbolting it and pulling it off without spilling coolant everywhere!

Did you say 60 over????? You better have that block sonic checked ASAP!!!! Clevelands have notoriously thin cylinder walls and rarely go over .030" without problems.
I've seen some Cleve blocks that were dangerously thin in some spots even at standard bore!
Did this shop talk you into going .060" on it? How many Hi Po Fords do they do? Is this another "Chevy specialist" that dont know much about Fords?
You should find all this out as quickly as you can.

Stick to your guns - the manifold is good for the parts combination you stated - except the "very hig lift cam". With that converter and gear, you should be in the 214/224 duration, mid .5's lift area.

i have 3.70 posi with a bigger cam then you have , and a 2700 stall, and i could only get 15.5 with street tires. Traction will probably give you a problem.
