Anyone getting any work done on the Torinos lately?

Just thought I'd put the question out there.

I'm waiting for my exhaust manifolds. Once they come in, I can finally get my Torino on the street!

exhaust should come in today or tomorrow, and yesterday i changed the oil, replaced a collector gasket that was halfway gone and today i will change the oil psi gauge that is reading way to low i have narrowed it down to the gauge cuz sometimes it will dip below 20 and when i tap it it goes back up.

What in the heck did you take the cowl apart for? I could see repairing the body mount areas at the bottom, but the top? Interesting.
Sorry, anyways, I plan on picking up yet another parts ca, 1972 4 door torino; I just unburied my garage not to long ago so I have room to work on the front end of my torino...been working on doing my '99 police crown vic brake swap, I just need to take the driver's side apart, bolt the dust sheild back on, and probably remake my caliper brackets.
I sort have got sidelined, between my 1992 explorer and my head gasket problems on my '79 4x4 f150. I was planning on making the '72 run possibly by new years {thinkpen headers at midnight}
but with the tow rig down, that's the priority.

When we started pulling the car apart I was concerned about the fact there was two inches of water in the cowl near the center drain 'cause it was plugged. And there was some surface rust after I had drained it. After we removed it (cut it off) we blasted the top of the firewall and the underside of the cowl.
Here is a list of things found once I cut the cowl off.
1. Underside is unpainted and they used galvanizing to protect it. After
30 years covered in surface rust.
2. After sandblasting a couple of small pinholes around the bases of the
airboxes. (If your floors are wet could be this, fortunately mine
weren't)
3. Center drain is very narrow and easily plugged by debis. Center
drain is metal at the top encapsulated with rubber. By dumb luck I
found one on Ebay while working on it. If you remove the plastic
screens you will find it near the wiper motor.

How are you making out with that conversion? Getting any good photos of the progress?
